Local College Student Excels COLUMBIA, Mo. – Sophomore javelin thrower Leslie Bourgeois finished 13th overall at the NCAA Mideast Regionals held Friday evening at the University of Missouri’s Audrey J. Walton Stadium. Bourgeois fouled on her first two attempts, before completing a toss of 142-06 in her third and final attempt. Bourgeois will now hope to receive an at-large bid to the 2007 NCAA National Championships, which will be held in Sacramento, Calif. next month. Final selections will be made on Tuesday, May 29.
