Mr. AJ Songe III, Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) Volunteer Auxiliary
President, was named Volunteer of the Year during the awards presentation at the 2007 Volunteer Banquet held in celebration of National Volunteer Week on April 20. Songe, a Houma native, gave over 1,230 service hours during his first year of volunteering at TGMC.
“I do this because I enjoy it,” said Songe. “It is a part of my life that I wanted to fulfill because life has been good to me.”
The volunteer auxiliary donated a combined total of over 19,000 service hours in the 2006-2007 term. During Volunteer Week, TGMC recognized the warmth and dedication each member of the volunteer auxiliary adds to the TGMC Team.
