Bayou Region – Training for new and early-stage entrepreneurial companies will be offered beginning Wednesday, May 2 at Nicholls State University in Room 113 Ayo Hall. The 10-week series is designed to provide entrepreneurs with comprehensive insight into the launch and growth of a new business. The upcoming series will feature the program materials of FastTrac, the leading source of entrepreneurial training from, the Kauffman Foundation. Sessions last from two to two and one-half hours and cover topic including: Exploring Entrepreneurship, Identifying and Meeting Market Needs, Setting Financial Goals, Planning the Product/Service, Researching and Analyzing the Market, Reaching the Market, Building the Organization and Team, Planning for a profitable business, Monitoring Cash Flow, Seeking Funds and Implementing Next Steps.
The cost for the 10-week series is $700 but substantial tuition assistance may be available to companies certified by the Louisiana Economic Development, Small and Emerging Business Development (SBDC) program.
