Nurses at Terrebonne General Medical Center are being honored with The DAISY Award for
Extraordinary Nurses. This award is part of the DAISY Foundationās program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform everyday. Mark Barnes and his family founded the award in 1999, and Terrebonne General Medical Center joins 37-other medical facilities honoring their nurses with this special award.
The TGMC January recipient is Toni Armstrong, RN from the Oncology Department. As a part of the TGMC team for 11 years, Armstrong began working in the patient supply department and then became a nurse extern. She became an RN after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Nicholls State University.
