Former Bayou Resident Named to 2007 BIG Board of Directors

 

 

Bayou Lafourche native and former Terrebonne Parish resident Carol Pierce will be sworn in to her second year as a member of the Bayou Industrial Group’s Board of Directors at BIG's Annual Membership Banquet being held February 5 on the Nicholls State University Campus.

 

Featured speaker at the event will be U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, and Greater Lafourche Port Commission Executive Director Ted Falgout will serve as master of ceremonies.

 

"BIG is a non-profit, bi-partisan organization committed to the growth of business and industry in southeast Louisiana and dedicated to meeting the needs of our members," states Success Now's Carol Pierce,  who now lives in Ascension Parish. "According to a recent membership survey, our BIG Board discovered the most pressing needs are coastal restoration and infrastructure improvement. Both will be addressed at BIG's upcoming banquet."

 

Founder and owner of Success Now, Pierce is the author of  several books, including Jump Now, Look Later. Pierce works with individuals and speaks to groups wanting the courage and confidence to jump now to more success. 

 

Incoming BIG president is Eddie Hebert; vice president is Lafourche Parish School Board member Stella Lasseigne, and secretary treasurer is Terry Albert, Coastal Commerce Bank's Thibodaux Branch manager.

 

In addition to Pierce, 2007 BIG Board members include immediate past president Bill Frey of SWDI, Louisiana State Mineral Board member Carol LeBlanc, Restore or Retreat Executive Director Simone Maloz, and City of Thibodaux Grants Director Bonnie Lafont.
