The Terrebonne General Medical Center Diabetes Management Center will hold its annual Diabetes Symposium on Saturday, August 26.  This event will be held in the TGMC Medical Atrium Conference Room from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Guest speakers will include Dr. Donald Gervais, Neurologist, speaking on Diabetes and Nerve Damage, Dr. Samir Kailani, Endocrinologist and Medical Director for the Diabetes Management Center, providing a Current Diabetes Treatment Update and Amanda Valence, LDN, RD Dietician with the Diabetes Management Center, speaking on the Battle of the Diets: ADA Diabetic Diet vs. “Low Carb” Diets.

A continental breakfast and products fair will begin at 8:30 am. Admission is free and open to the public.
