Local Success Strategist Named to LA Office on Women’s Policy Steering Committee
Success Now announces that Success Strategist Carol Pierce has been named to the Louisiana Office on Women's Policy Steering Committee for Quality Assurance to Standards. Pierce serves as part of the team performing a comprehensive self-study of Chez Hope, a domestic violence survivors program serving the St. Mary, Lafourche, Assumption, and Terrebonne Parish region.
An Ascension Parish resident and internationally recognized author, Pierce, along with the rest of the 12 member team, will spend the coming year evaluating how well Chez Hope’s programs meet OWP standards. The team will identify the organization’s strengths and weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvement.
“I feel both humbled and honored to once again be selected for this privilege,” states Pierce, a Chez Hope success story, member of the 2000-01 Steering Committee, and former Chez Hope Board Member.
“Serving on the OWP Steering Committee provides me yet another opportunity to give back to Chez Hope. It’s my thank you to them for helping me learn how to break free from the chains of abuse and lead the happier life I now live.”
A Bayou Lafourche native, Carol Pierce describes how Chez Hope helped her recover from the all too common problem of abuse in her book Jump Now, Look Later and in her autobiographical account, “Thank You, Nicole,” which has appeared in national publications.
Gonzales-based Success Now’s Carol Pierce teaches people how to gain the courage and confidence to overcome obstacles holding them back from jumping now to the life they so want. She also provides large and small group presentations for businesses and organizations wanting their people to work better together and communicate more effectively.
